ALGÉRIE TÉLÉCOM TO LAUNCH ADSL SERVICE WITH HELP OF DAEWOO

  One more North African country has joined the elite club of countries currently planning to offer ADSL. South Korean company Daewoo has gone into partnership with Algérie Télécom to offer high-speed, ADSL service to the incumbent’s customers, according to an announcement last Thursday by Amar Tou, Minister of Post and ICT and the President of Daewoo International Corporation Tae-Yong Lee. In the first stage it will offer the service to 1,000 customers.

According to the statement:"Our chosen strategy from now on is to open up the ICT markets." The Managing Director of Daewoo said that he had been very pleased with the discussions with the Minister Amar Tou "assuring the development of ICT and participating in the creation of an information society".
