As software applications become increasingly important, especially, for banking operations globally, Nigerian software provider Connect Technologies limited has repositioned itself with the unveiling of an Enterprise Inventory System.

The Chief Executive Officer of Connect Technologies, Chris Uwaje who spoke to IT journalists last week in Lagos, noted that the product has customer support system, financial management system, inventory control system including sales, purchase, bills receivable and payable, income and expense maintenance with various useful reports. The product, he said, supports purchase or sales transaction which automatically updates inventory by giving current stock report. This application can be used to issue bills to customers as soon as sales transaction is made, Uwaje explained.

The system, he said, has two different types of user administrator and operator administrator which can set security policy for operator through separate security form. "Each user can change passwords. If an operator forgets his password, the product has a mechanism where administrator can change it to default password which is defined in this application," he said. The application has log in and log out time which makes the system to be able to determine when an operator has made an entry.
