MOROCCO’S REGULATOR CHOOSES ADVISERS FOR FIXED LINE SELL-OFF

Telecoms

After a pause of several months, it seems that the liberalisation of the telecommunications sector is moving again. After asking for proposals at the beginning of the year, the Moroccan regulator ANRT has chosen from the six submissions one consortium to act as advisers on the liberalisation of the fixed line market: Booz Allen/Bird&Bird et Uplines Securities.

The six bidders included: Booz-Allen-Hamilton / Bird&Bird / Upline Securities, Bnp Paribas / BMCI / Nera / Cliford Chance, Analysys / Attijari Finances / Georges Racine, Mckinsey / Wafa Trust, Estin & Co / Afg, Sofrecom. The work will last six months and is particularly focused on resolving an interconnection regime for the liberalised market.
