MAROC TELECOM SIGNS INTERNET AGREEMENT WITH MINISTRY OF EDUCATION
Cuts in access costs of up to 20% and special packs to help develop web sites are some of the elements of an agreement between Maroc Telecom and the Ministry of Education. The tariff will apply to education institutions at all levels. The aim of the agreement signed in Rabat is to encourage schools to take up ADSL connections with "always-on", unlimited access time, Maroc Telecom will also help each education establishment develop its own web site. This will enable them to gain visibility on the net.
As part of the agreement Maroc Telecom will offer a specific pack for education establishment. The pack will contain: modems, routers, a domain name and a block of 16 IP addresses. The incumbent will also train a technician who will be responsible for the development of the web sites.
