- Edem Kossi talked about the e-commerce platform he and his colleagues have developed at the Afribone/Balancing Act Entrepreneurship and ICT workshop. It is a multi-catalogue product that they hope to launch with two payment methods. Either a smart card called "carte de Wari" or using Western Union with an authorization code and a password. Kossi told us that there were probably around 300 international credit cards in Mali and that the e-commerce platform would therefore be able to address payment issues for which there are no electronic solutions.
- The Angolan Government-run Commission of Information Technology has signed an agreement with Microsoft covering computing and telecoms, according to official sources.
