EGYPT’S MCIT SUPPORTS NEW MODEL FOR INVESTMENT IN EGYPTIAN MARKET

Within MCIT’s initiatives to develop the ICT export industry in Egypt, Dr. Ahmed Nazif, Minister of Communications and Information Technology attended last week’s launch ceremony of IBM Egypt’s Knowledge Factory.

The IBM-Egypt’s Knowledge Factory in Egypt will develop the e-learning courseware suitable for implementation in the Region. It promises to create 25 new highly specialized work opportunities in the field of IT. Professionals working in the factory are graduates of MCIT’s Professional Training Project which is part of the Human Recourses Program of National Plan for ICT development in Egypt.

The IBM-Egypt’s Knowledge Factory develops customized e-learning programs in both Arabic and English. A pool of exports together with technologically advanced tools and proven content development methods offer a comprehensive solution for creating effective e-learning programs, providing customers with a complete set of delivery alternatives.

The Knowledge Factory is a new addition to the efforts exerted by Cairo Technology Development Center of IBM Egypt which focuses on software and skills exports in order to contribute to the development and advancement of the IT industry in Egypt. Egypt’s first Knowledge factory has already contracts to fulfill for providing the e-learning content for the IBM offices in the EMEA region.
