ANGOLAN GOVT SETS UP COMMISSION TO PRIVATISE ANGOLA-TELECOM
The Angolan government has recently set up a Commission to oversee the part-privatisaion of Angola-Telecom. According to Diário da República, the decision came from the privitisation strategy approved by the Council of Ministers in October 2001. The new Commision will have the following members: Manuel Nunes Júnior fom the Ministry of Finance, Aristides Cardoso and Nzola Funo from the Ministry of Post and Telecommunications, António Guilherme of the Ministry of Commerce and João Manuel of Angola-Telecom. Its Executive Secretary will be Manuel da Costa. It also has a representative from the Institute of External Investment.
